IT Operations Group Manager

Responsibilities

  • Enables and ensures the LG Group IT Systems and Infrastructure is being monitored 24/7/365, builds monitoring procedures to proactively detect system issues or disruptions
  • Ensures availability of LG IT systems by organizing L1 maintenance jobs, proactive incident management and timely escalation of issues to L2 engineering and developer teams
  • Ensures the health checks of LG IT Production environment performed consistently and the results archived; enables automation of routine maintenance checks whenever possible
  • Drives the analysis, identification, prioritization and implementation of improvements and efficiencies
  • Manages IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance; oversees staff activities
  • Provides SLA data and reporting of KPI’s and trends to IT department and others in ad-hoc, weekly, monthly and as needed; drives Incidents Deep Dive analysis and develops strategies for improvement
  • Acts as an escalation point for issues requiring direct contact with users or senior management
  • Participates in the IT RUN Management Team

Requirements

  • Experience of working within an ITIL environment with knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change management
  • Previous experience as an IT Operations Manager or in a similar role is advantage
  • University degree (preferably in information technology or engineering)
  • Good knowledge of monitoring tools
  • Good IT Infrastructure and sufficient applications maintenance understanding
  • Leadership skills and experience in team formation, development and leading towards common goals;
  • Strong Communication & Escalation Management skills, abilities to work in a dynamic environment;
  • Good Lithuanian & English
