Material Master Data Steward


  • Create and maintain the (material) master data objects
  • Reviewing that the information given in the request, is according standards and requirements for identification
  • Enrichment of data, according information from various databases
  • Escalate data governance issues to the data manager, global data owners and other stakeholders
  • Carry out harmonization, replacement and duplicate reduction processes
  • Ensure compliance of material descriptions with defined templates and patterns
  • Continuance of services in times of (un)expected unavailability


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant work experience in the engineering area is mandatory. Experience in Data Stewardship would be considered as an asset
  • Solid professional with at least 2 years of experience preferred for materials, engineering or industrial maintenance
  • Good English knowledge
  • High skills in Excel is an asset, the medium is mandatory
  • Good understanding of technical items, documents and drawings
  • Basic understanding of material data structure (name, UOM, part number, manufacturer data, etc.)
  • Strong process and internal customer orientation, strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA, SAP MDG would be considered as a strong asset
